About my header photo:
This cross stands at 9,000 feet atop Cedar Mountain at Lutheran Valley Retreat in Colorado. It’s tradition for each person to place a rock at the foot of the cross on their first trip up the mountain. It’s a beautiful representation of peace, hope, and the opportunity to give our burdens to our Savior. I climbed Cedar many times both leading groups and by myself in my free time. I took this picture when I spent a half day at the summit by myself in quiet time and reflection. A storm was approaching and the sun was shining through the clouds on the cross. I love this picture for everything that it represents about my faith and the memories of my summer at LVR.
