Ferguson Still Waiting

“Justice delayed, is justice denied.” -William Gladstone

An update on Ryan Ferguson’s appeal to Judge Jodie Asel: Sadly, there is no update. I periodically search to see if there’s any new news about Ferguson, but I haven’t found a trace of anything yet. The wheels of justice turn slowly…very slowly. I see that people are still very interested in this and reading my older posts about it. I’ll keep watching.

Please post comments, updates, news stories, or anything relevant to Ryan Ferguson’s case, his appeal, or Chuck Erickson.

I see 48 Hours re-aired their episode “Dream Killer” about Ryan and Chuck, which would explain why my blog suddenly got hundreds of hits on my old posts about it.

For those of you who recently learned about this case from 48 Hours: Yes, Ryan Ferguson is still in prison. So is Erickson. Ferguson has switched attorneys and tried several appeals, to no avail. He’s currently awaiting a ruling from Judge Jodie Asel about an appeal.

This story has a good summary of arguments for a retrial: http://www.columbiamissourian.com/stories/2008/07/17/fergusons-original-attorneys-say-they-did-not-rece/
